The Adopt-A-Park mission is to care for and maintain Village of Glendale Heights parks and other green spaces through ongoing volunteer support and education regarding the importance of caring for Glendale Heights' lands. Volunteers may include individuals, corporations, businesses, schools, neighborhood associations, youth groups, families, friends and scouts. Parks, playgrounds, flower beds, greenbelts, medians and many other types of open space are available for adoption. For a list of available parks, or to inquire about other locations, contact Chuck Dymbrowski, Parks Lead Foreman at 630.260.6060. The minimum commitment is one year. Adopt-A-Park Request Forms can be downloaded from our website or are available at the Sports Hub.
Families! Clean out the basement, attic and garage! It's time to get rid of all that stuff you no longer want in the grand tradition of the French flea markets. Rent a space and sell it all at our 15th Annual Community Garage Sale on September 15 from 9:00am-2:00pm. Remember: one man's trash is another's man treasure! Nothing to sell? Come out and shop the bargains. Registration costs $15/$20 and you may register for this event at the Sports Hub where you will receive an information packet including your spot(s) and a corresponding map. Vendor arrival time: 7:00am. Event runs rain or shine!
